While no cure is currently available for this usually benign disease, we strive to relieve symptoms through:
  • Artificial tears or eye-lubricating ointments (dry eyes)
  • Lifestyle modifications such as avoiding antihistamines and decongestants (dry mouth)such as sipping water and chewing gum (dry mouth)
  • Medicine for increasing saliva flow (dry mouth)for joint pain
  • Physical therapy (stiffness)
  • Takayasu’s disease
  • Vasculitis
  • Wegener’s granulomatosis
