Intestines_transplant_LrgVert The Intestinal Transplant Program at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, is one of only a few centers in the country offering intestinal transplant. We provide this life-saving therapy to people like you with conditions such as:
  • Severe complications of total parenteral nutrition therapy 
  • Intestinal obstructions 
  • Intestinal tumors
  • Nonfunctional or missing short bowel

Our intestinal transplant team consists of nationally regarded abdominal transplant surgeons. Together with our gastroenterology physicians, they offer patients comprehensive, coordinated care in our world-class Transplant Center.
