Reducing Complications of BMT
Improving outcomes for patients with hematologic malignancies is the focus of research led by Linda Burns, MD. “Our research efforts are focused in three major areas,” she says. “We conduct novel studies through the Masonic Cancer Center; we work with large, well-recognized U.S. centers of transplant excellence; and we conduct pharmaceutical studies with drugs we are considering," says Burns.
"I'm here for a reason."
In 2002, Leah Arnold was newly married, graduated from college and was preparing to take the Medical College Admissions Test when she noticed a lump on her neck.
