Becoming a patient
If you are considering becoming a patient of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, our coordinators are here to assist you. They will help by gathering necessary information, setting your first appointment and answering any of your questions.
Having a physician refer you to our program will speed up the referral process. However, patients who are interested in our program may also contact us directly. To ask about becoming a patient please call

Our transplant coordinators will:
- coordinate communication between you, your physician and the BMT health care team
- work with the hospital's financial services representatives and your insurance company to help you secure insurance coverage for your treatment
- communicate with you and your physician about your medical condition and possible dates for evaluation and admission
