BMT care team

Mid-level providers

Our Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) work closely with the blood and marrow transplant (BMT) attending or primary physician to plan your daily care. They will work with you on both the inpatient unit and in the clinic throughout the transplant process. PAs and NPs can prescribe medicine and treatment. They assist the attending or primary physicians in writing orders, doing procedures and evaluating your progress. They will examine you, order tests and adjust your medicines in consultation with other physicians on your team.

To reach one of our care team members, please call 612-273-2800 or 888-601-0787.

 • work with the other team members to coordinate your plan of care on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
 • communicate with your primary doctor.
