Arrhythmia

University of Minnesota Physicians specialists are renowned for innovative and effective approaches to the evaluation and treatment of heart rhythm disturbances and fainting spells (Syncope) employing a wide array of technologies and techniques, we work to facilitate diagnosis of complex cases and determine the most appropriate treatment strategies (drugs, implanted devices, surgery or ablation). In fact, our physicians helped develop many of today’s state-of-the-art catheters and pacemakers. They have also engaged in research that promises a 50 percent improvement in cardiac arrest resuscitation rates, and pioneered cardiac resynchronization therapy, a technique especially beneficial for patients with refractory heart failure.
