Each year, nearly 3,000 babies are born at The Birthplace at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. Our staff and providers care for routine to complex births. The Birthplace team collaborates with various pediatric specialists at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital. All of our labor and delivery rooms at The Birthplace are private and offer mothers and their families a warm environment. Our rooms are in close proximity to our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit should your baby need special attention.
