Expert care for medically complicated pregnancies
Specialists at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview’s three Maternal-Fetal Medicine Centers provide care for pregnant women who are — or who have high risks of — experiencing a medically complicated pregnancy. We provide care at our three metro-area locations — Burnsville, Edina and Minneapolis.
Maternal-fetal medicine patients who receive care at our Burnsville location also have access to the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital, which provides the highest level of neonatal intensive care available.
Our Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists are board certified in maternal-fetal medicine. In addition, our maternal-fetal medicine team has the only physician in Minnesota who is dually trained in maternal-fetal medicine and clinical genetics; there are fewer than 100 such physicians nationwide. Our Maternal- Fetal Medicine Centers are part of the University of Minnesota National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health, which serves as a national model to provide innovative, comprehensive and interdisciplinary care for women.
