The Behavioral Emergency Center at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview provides emergency care, assessment and referrals for people of all ages in behavioral crisis related to either mental health or substance abuse. Patients needing this care should go to the Emergency Department on the West Bank to be checked for medical needs.
